Prices effective 06/01/07
PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY: Plating prices are not an
exact science. Variations in condition, previous modifications and
alterations plus normal wear and tear can effect the final price.
Here are some of the fluctuations you might encounter: Also prices are
effective immediately on all items and based on when received at Accurate
Plating.
If
you see the word REFIN or REFINISHING used in any of our pricing tables,
next to, or conjoined with a column, or part, it means a small sum is
added to refinish the part after the gunsmith has done the necessary
filing, stoning, grinding, buffing, welding or sawing.
Obviously when metal is removed or reworked some cosmetic changes have to
take place to restore the part to match what it's supposed to
be which is the final delivered finish after metalworking is done.
PLEASE NOTE CHANGES OR
ADDED PRICES IN YELLOW:
Our Minimum Shop Charges of
FORTY DOLLARS
includes written
estimates.
Our Minimum Handling Charge is $8.00.
CERAguard, our new ceramic finish is
available in three variations. One color, Two tone and Camo.
Thus if you wanted a green slide on a matt brown frame 1911, It would be
$216.00 PLUS 25.00 OR $241.00 total.
" ALPHA BLUE Finishing".
There
is another option in finishing called Alpha Blue which is a combination of
Bright Finish and Brush Finish. In other words it has more luster
than the brushed surface but it is not a high gloss "bright" finish. The
additional cost for this process and added step for a handgun is
$50.00.
The added step for a
long gun is $75.00.
On all the newer S&W, Taurus and
similar firearms with combined lock type integral
safeties, their will be a $25.00 dollar surcharge to plate, repair,
assemble and disassemble these products due to the extra parts incurred.
"Bright
Master Polish Finishes" -
ADD $100.00 to Brushed Finish
for a Handgun
ADD $150.00
for a a Long Gun
ADD $200.00
for a Double Barrel
Rough Firearms can add up to
$50.00 Additional.
Understand that these Bright Master finishes are for firearms with only minor flaws,
even new roughly built firearms can incur these charges. For example
Desert Eagles are very roughly finished firearms. Using the latest
technology in refinishing and flaw removal ( Diamond Belts, Impregnated
Super Grits to higher levels, etc) we take a backseat to no one in
this skilled operation and when we Master finish your firearm it looks
like it should. "Beware of low cost bright finishes", you may
get back less gun than what you started with". Master finishes are
handled by Bob Cogan and our shop foreman only and are fairly labor
intense operations so you retain the sharp lines and angles of the piece
being worked on.
Gold: Plating small parts starts at $40.00 each. The average entire pistol in GOLD (Varies by size)
in Gold Florentine on a handgun is
$600.00 and Bright Gold is additional based on the work plus return shipping and handling.
Very expensive long guns: (over $3000) start at 10% of value.
