THE CONCEPT GUN
New shooters to IPSC can get in the
full game more affordably.
The Concept gun is unique. One gun
with different tops and sights in three calibers allowing you the
flexibility to shoot any discipline and be legally correct for that
discipline.
Older
shooters who have realized that they will never be a World or National
Champion may decide that this gives them options at a much more affordable
level which staying current in the equipment race.
Most serious competitors own at least two complete pistols so that
if one breaks at a match they can continue shooting.
Go back and multiply all those numbers by two.
That’s probably a couple of years worth of ammo or reloading
components. Again, I don’t think
we need a CPA to figure out what we are saving here.
Even if you do not want to
shoot IDPA you are still looking at a $5700.00 for the Limited and
Unlimited pistol against $3800.00 for the interchangeable system that
saves roughly $1900.00 where I went to school.
But there is more to this idea than saving money. More than just dollars and
numbers, for starters:
- You always are shooting the same
trigger pull.
- If you decide to have the frame
roughened ( Checkering, stippling) for a better grip that will also
feel the same.
- Changing the sights from standard
adjustable to the Red Dot Fire Point can be done without loss of Zero
- This pistol doesn’t even have to be
modified all at one time. It
can be done in stages.
