One of the most essential and simple elements of improving your shooting techniques relies on the elimination of recoil and muzzle rise especially those using a two-tap system of combat shooting.
In testing our Glock and SIG Demo .40 Caliber, it demonstrated better 2nd shot site picture using the sights shown, closer second shot groups and only a slight reduction in velocity of 8% through the stage chronograph using real world combat standard loads, not target loads.
EXPLODING URBAN MYTH
On MythBusters this week, Adam and Jamie tested the bullet-proofness of various objects. They said there was a report of a solider being shot by an AK-47, but he was saved because the bullet hit his ipod.
To test this, Adam shot an AK-47 at an ipod and it went through. Moral of the story, body armor works best. Don't trust your life with AT&T. No minutes were lost in the making of this statement. It supposedly took place on a weekend.
LONGSLIDES
The Diversity of the Colt 1911 is what makes it the firearm for all seasons.
Long slides are excellent target guns and great hunters because of the longer sight plane.
Tuned and properly equipped with good adjustable sights they are a match for most occasions where high but controllable power is needed.
Literally a blast in hunting ground game or pests such as feral pigs or coyotes which many states allow year round conservation.
The longer sight picture and .semi-auto 40-.45 caliber combine for one stop shopping. Colt is back into the DELTA 10MM series so that adds another caliber for modification into a long slide.
Generally speaking the longer slide increases the velocity and we know a few who have downed some nice deer with this combo. Click on the shot below.
